1. The Dram Tram

Actually its not really going to be a tram as such but our coach DTCL 56491 is presently undergoing something of a transformation.
It is to become our Function Coach!
This carriage has not been in active service for several years, but as it is in a very sound condition it has become obvious that it could lend itself as a useful addition to the fleet. So, of course, on the ‘Whisky Line’ our passengers might well expect the enjoyment of a good old traditional dram.
The process of converting this coach into a travelling whisky saloon has in fact already begun. Seats have been removed and interior walls stripped. Once cleared of heating ducts and brackets, refurbishment can begin. It is to follow a design conceived by our chief engineer Bruce, who is ably assisted by others on the engineering and joinery team.
Our volunteer work force has been bolstered by three young people who have joined us through a Government apprentice scheme, and this has made a big difference. We can reveal that the design features a snug and a larger compartment with a bar.

The final result will hopefully meet with widespread approval from our passengers, and we look forward to seeing the coach in use again.
It is hoped that this coach will play a role in the annual whisky festivals, in addition to being available for private hire. Sponsorship and donations, however modest, are most welcome.
We are looking for sponsors for the following:
Table @ £100
Seat @ £150
Set of 4 seats £600
Whisky bar: £1,000
Carpet: £1,000
In addition there are the following levels of sponsorship:

Platinum Sponsor: £1,000
Gold Sponsor: £500
Silver Sponsor: £250
All sponsors (or as a gift or in memory of someone special) will be acknowledged on the item or within the carriage, and will be invited on the inaugural journey.
