2. The Second Track:
It’s Complete! After lots of effort and volunteering hours the loop has now been fully connected on both sides, tested and ready for use. This gives us access to both lines in the shed as well as full access to the shed even if something is on the platform track. This is also one step closer to unlocking opportunities for locomotive hauled stock. Thank you to all that were involved with this project.
As of April 2013 we have now completed a new crossover between Dufftown platform and the shed which can also be used as a run-around for loco- hauled stock.
At the same time we have greatly improved the foot crossing at the same point as the crossover.
