1940s Weekend

This year, 2024, the ever-popular 40s weekend will happen on the 15th and 16th of June.

Many thanks for ALL who helped make this event such a really great success last year.

Helen Bodiam, will again be organising this years event with teams of wartime re-enactors, the Desert Rats and exhibitors of a variety of military vehicles, motor cycles tractors & etc.

It is for ever a remembrance of the great community spirit that turned a stiff upper lip to hard times and made do whatever.

It’s always a huge success!
The many exhibits include shops with war-time memorabilia and live demonstrations of old-time farm machinery. Land-girls, Lumber-Jacks & Jills will be there to show you how we fought the war on the Home Front.

These were the heroes who worked tirelessly in all weathers to maintain supplies of food and fuel.
